Chocolate Pansy, our distinguished single estate coffee, is a testament to a rich heritage and a deep connection with nature. Managed by a 4th generation coffee farmer, the estate is a sanctuary where coffee cultivation and biodiversity thrive in harmony. The soil, rich in organic carbon and minerals, nurtures the coffee plants under the dense canopy of native trees, creating a unique microclimate ideal for coffee growth.

This estate is not just a coffee farm; it’s a vibrant ecosystem, home to 66 species of birds, 40 species of butterflies, and 11 wild mammals, all coexisting within the coffee groves. Among these is the “Chocolate Pansy” butterfly, Junonia iphita, a species integral to the estate’s identity. The butterfly’s mocha-colored wings, reminiscent of coffee crema, have inspired the name and spirit of our Chocolate Pansy coffee.
